Audience Engagement
Incorporating fan generated content.
For artists, building a connection with your audience is vital, and one of the best ways to establish a meaningful relationship is to include your fans in the video-creation process.
Artists today are taking fan participation a step further.
Inviting your fans to take an active role in the making of your music video, leads to a deeper level of engagement and the creation of superfans.
The Concept
The Show Stopper is a music video concept where you, the artist or band, engage your audience by having them take part in the filming of your music video.
Here’s How It Works
Prior to the show, you begin building anticipation on social media that something special will be going down at your upcoming show.
At the show, at a pre-selected point, you announce to the audience that on this next song you're filming a music video, and instruct them all to pull out their phones because they're going to be the ones filming it.
You'll instruct them to film themselves, their friends, and the band, and then when the song's over, to hashtag their videos and post them to your band's Facebook and Instagram pages; and since they're there, go ahead and Like/Friend/Follow/Share/Subscribe. Then when the video is produced, the best videos clips will be incorporated into your music video.
The Show Stopper music video creates a powerful marketing and social media engagement opportunity for weeks, especially if you take things further by creating a contest or allowing your fans to pick the best clips for the video.
Superfans - loyal fans who not only follow an artist, but evangelize endlessly for the band, and contribute financially through ticket sales, merchandise.
